OnFoot’s founder, John Briggs, comes from a background of more than 13 years in the high-tech industry. Prior to founding OnFoot, John spent 6 years at Yahoo, where he worked his way up through the ranks to become a VP and General Manager. When he first joined Yahoo, Briggs’ initial responsibility was to create and manage Yahoo’s media business, which evolved into the widely used Yahoo Sports, Yahoo News, Yahoo Weather and Yahoo Finance properties. Later, as Yahoo decided to expand into e-commerce, Briggs headed up their e-commerce initiative, building and managing a series of successful businesses including Yahoo Shopping, Auctions, Classifieds and Yellow Pages.
Prior to joining Yahoo, Briggs was a Senior Product Manager at Lotus Development Corporation, in their Desktop Products unit.
